Mitt Romney Expected GOP Presidential Nominee With Texas Win
Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has enough delegates to become the Republican presidential nominee.
With his victory in Tuesday’s Texas primary, Romney has more than the eleven-hundred and 44 delegates necessary to win the nomination at this summer’s Republican National Convention.
The GOP holds its convention in Tampa at the end of August.
The victory comes almost exactly a year after Romney made a formal announcement he was running for the office of President of the United States.
