Rihanna Evacuated From London Hotel After Fire
Pop superstar Rihanna was among a number of guests forced to take cover after a Fire broke out at a London hotel Wednesday.
BBC News says flames in an elevator shaft prompted the evacuation of 300 guests from the five-star Corinthia Hotel in Whitehall Place.
Ten firefighters were reportedly called to the scene to douse the flames.
A displaced Rihanna tweeted that she had been roaming the streets since 6:00 am and included a photo of herself sitting in the back of a cab.
No injuries were reported, although a spokesman said the fire caused a small amount of damage to the elevator on the hotel’s seventh floor.
Rihanna performed at the Hackney Weekend event in London last weekend.
