All the subscribers of YouTube via the App Store will lose their subscription automatically claimed the new reports. Every year the company is seen taking up 30 percent of the first year’s worth of fees by slashing down the 15 percent of every payment after that. Naturally, this would displease the companies, which would lose a good amount of cut. With the email coming MacRumors has now discovered that the tech giant – Google has now joined the bandwagon of companies that have gone back against the system of Cupertino, which will further be going to stop the YouTube TV subscriptions that are made via the App Store with effect from 13th March.
This simply means that the new customers will not be able to pay via their storefront of Apple devices from the said deadline, while the current existing consumers are going to automatically get their subscription canceled by the first billing date once they exceed the said date. Now, the big question, will the company is going to introduce an iPhone subscription service, or will Google is going to sell away the printed photos subscription service. Although the tech giant is yet to give any specific reason for the cancellation which was informed by the email, perhaps the said fees from Google going to Apple are going to the key cause behind it.
Besides YouTube TV not allowing the subscribers to pay via App Store, Netflix too is also treading a similar path that has not stopped paying via the same. However, both App Store and Spotify are now seen complaining about the anti-competitive nature of the company as Apple Music platform is seen getting a tangible leg-up for the users of iOS and macOS. Obviously, the subscribers not coming via the App Store of the iOS devices are likely to lose the services and with this, the YouTube TV is going to remove the reference of subscription coming through a different platform. Now, one can see the users not being able to use the YouTube TV app anymore provided he or she uses the Apple device as they used to do it earlier. Only the users who pay the subscription fees from other platforms like the website of YouTube would avail the same. Well, let’s see how the YouTube users via the iOS based platforms are going to view this issue?
