Cashierless Checkout Technology by Amazon to Reach at the Newark Airport

With the cashier-less checkout technology introduced by Amazon is all active at the retail stores in the US, we now see it reaching soon at the Newark Liberty International Airport allowing the travelers to shop a wide range of products useful to them. As per reports, the OTG’s CIBO Express stores are all set to launch Amazon’s technology called Just Walk Out from 16th March. As per reports, the store would offer food products and drinks along with several other essentials at the Newark Airport’s Terminal C. Besides, the airport, it will come out with the same at the CIBO Express locations close to the Newark Liberty and the New York’s LaGuardia Airport, which is going to add the technology very soon claimed the OTG.

The news was announced by the e-commerce giant this Monday as it helps in selling out the cashier-less technology, which empowers its Go Stores over several other retailers. Last September, the media was seen reporting about the tech giant having in talks with the retailers about the OTG along with the Regal theatres at Cineworld having the cashier-less technology in some of the locations. The other sources claim that Amazon is also looking to introduce the same over the concession stands at the baseball stadiums claimed OTG. The OTG further said that the shoppers will help to swipe their credit cards once they are seen entering the CIBO Express based stores and thus get their products what they want to buy by simply walking inside the speed and convenience.

Currently, we see the shoppers entering the stores with the self check out but the customers that remain still need to scan on each and every item individually. This will pace up the process even further. With the Just Walk, Out Technology one can see the shoppers helping to buy the items from the store before one would need to stop and stand over the checkout line. The cameras along with the sensors via the store monitor would help the item shoppers taking them and then charging them automatically when they are leaving the store. The shoppers are pleased and are seen applauding the checkout-free retail experiences and many of them are seen enjoying the same. Besides, the company has signed a number of deals with retailers who are interested in bringing out the said technology in different stores. The company, however, has declined about commenting on the use of technology in its near future plans.
