In the recent buzz in the technology world, the tech giant called Microsoft claims that its Teams Communication meant for chatting and calling with co-team members have reached to more than 44 million daily active users crossing the earlier recorded figure of 20 million in November. Microsoft released its data today to announce the same. With this, the app called Teams has reached closer to the competitor, Slack. All thanks to the growth that has exceeded of late by the technology that still attracts a fresh amount of interest organically in its longstanding office productivity software franchise.

Teams boosted up the popularity, which can help the customer of the company’s retail office, which may appear similar to the other products including the Video calling service Zoom or Slack. In the recent rush due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the company employees are more relying on these online tools, as more and more people are working from home. The spread of Coronavirus seems to have confined people in their homes for work and thus they are relying on these online tools including Slack, Zoom, RingCentral and Cisco’s Webex the video calling tool. With the Microsoft app called Teams, getting 44 million, 32 million seemed to be using it on a daily basis for the past few days.

On the other side, Slack seems to have 12 million of daily users as reported in September and now is competing with the Microsoft number. With the impact of the Coronavirus all around, the corporate VP of the company Jared Spataro feels that there will be more increase in the number of Teams users in the coming days. In this week alone, the app has received 14 times the number of users in the Netherlands alone. One can find similar sorts of growth in nations like Spain and France. All the top companies like Accenture, Ernst & Young, Continental AG, SAP and Pfizer are among the top when it comes to housing the same. These companies together have 100,000 active Teams users.

On the other side, Slack was seen adding up more than 7000 new paid customers that are found between 1st Feb and March 18 with more than 5000 people now being added in the fourth quarter of this fiscal year that ended by 31st Jan. The app Teams have mostly the corporate subscriptions to Office 365 bundle. One can find more than 200 million commercial Office 365 monthly active users as seen in the third quarter. The company MS has now built a good number of features of the online tool that is going to have the ability to upload the show over the custom background seen behind themselves over video calls.
