The company on Friday was seen rolling out the new feature on its search and maps products for directing the people like medical care to different available doctors who are offering their services with tele health options when they are seen available. For example, when people are seen searching for the immediate general care, they can see the national virtual care platforms with the results.

When there are certain doctors, virtual care options and doctors these would pop up like people searching for them. While sharing the update on its latest blogpost published by Julie Black the director of Product Management of Google Health, there seems to be a rise in virtual care along with the telehealth rise.
During the COVID -19 outbreak, the health body called Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is seen motivating the people to benefit from telemedicine in all its capacity, which they are now able to spread the virus to the medical workers. This would include the mild symptoms, who do not require access to the same in-person care. In order to meet the high demand, a few hospitals are seen ramping up their virtual offerings and soon the tech giant is introducing the said feature via its Search and Maps products. A number of employers and insurance companies are seen covering the cost of telemedicine visits that are slated to be done via apps including Teladoc, American Well or Doctor on Demand which will help these people using the same.
The companies dealing with these apps are claiming that they are hiring doctors and other healthcare professionals to boost up the capacity as people are seen flocking to them. Hill Ferguson the CEO of Doctor on Demand while talking to the media said that they have bought hundreds of licensed doctors ever since the case of the COVID-19 pandemic has started, and is still seen actively hiring the same. With this, the health professionals are able to establish their own virtual care that the company is leveraging via their Google business profile. The tech giant will soon be able to come out with the option called to get online care, when people are seen finding a provider. For there, the prospective patients can schedule a virtual visit. The company also confirmed to showcase the cash prices for the doctors’ visit provided if they are not using any insurance cover.
