New Rules on Uploading Violent Game Content by YouTube matching TV and Films

We know YouTube to be among the biggest platform on this world wide web that gives people an option to upload videos of different genres and kinds. These include even the adult and violent content as well. Today, we have seen come changed being recommended by the YouTube particularly for the ones who have been dealing with violent games online. This is an attempt to regulate the content, which showcases video game violence. Talking about the same, the company claims it would treat simulated and scripted violence in games the very same way, which it approaches violence in films and TV shows.

As per the Tech Giant, the changes are simply meant to embark upon with a couple of gaming videos over YouTube along with aggregated that end up bringing more people to see them. YouTube will continue to limit content where the complete focus over the video when it comes to the violent content itself. While tweeting about the update, the YouTube giant said that today onwards the scripted or simulated violence found in video games will be seen  as the objectionable one and thus will not be allowed to be put over any of the channels.

it further said that the gaming content to be uploaded should be free from violence and in case it comes with that it has to be reviewed by the team and can only be kept for the age restricted age group. Well, we all know that there seems to be a huge gap between the real world and the scripted/stimulated violence as seen in films and TV, hence the company wants to enforce the content policies on a regular basis. It said that they have showcased the same before the audience.

Earlier, we have seen the company CEO Susan Wojcicki hinting about the change to be seen in the company policies when it comes to putting the video games content online. In the earlier tweets, the company CEO has said that they would prefer edgy content and not the ones with violence. The company is yet to change the guidelines and looking for the ad advertiser friendly content. The videos with some gratuitous amounts of violence will now would remain largely unmonetized. So, the next time you have any gaming video to post, check the content before you upload them as you would face issues with gaming content having violence in it.
