‘Caption Warning’ in Instagram is the new feature aimed to target Cyber Bullying

The Facebook-owned photos and video sharing platform called Instagram is back in the news and this time for adding a few more features. Now, it has become a safer place to dwell and play around. Along with rolling out with several privacy-focused issues, the social media platform has embarked upon an anti-bullying feature in this app or platform. To be precise, the company has introduced a Caption warming feature that would warn you about the hurtful captions over your videos and photos. Now, bullying over the Instagram caption would be rather difficult for your photos and videos.

It will instantly going to be flagged with a notification saying this caption seems offensive and hurt someone and so on.  The moment the Instagram senses that the caption is offensive or violating, it will recommend a warning message asking you change the same. This is yet another step forward by the company to prevent issues like cyberbullying on Instagram. Earlier the platform has rolled out the option the feature of restricting all across the globe that helps the users to prevent the people who bully them with the offensive or abusive comments or post.

You would be able to prevent someone by simply swiping the left on the comment with the privacy tab found in the settings or simply by adding directly over the profile of the account one would plan to prevent. Once it would restrict you about the same, you would be able to prevent the comment over your post from anyone who seems to be restricted and going to be visible to the person claimed the Instagram. You can even choose to check the views by simply the option called See Comment and then get it approved by everyone to get it showcased in your circle and then have the option called Ignore or Delete.

With the help of direct messages, one would automatically move the message request along with the users not getting the notifications from the restricted account. The Instagram for this feature would be relying on the AI or Artificial Intelligence in order to find out the person bullying or using such kinds of offensive comments, videos or photos. At the same time, the company is seen restricting the people who are under the age of 18 to view these posts that come from different people including celebrity influencers who promote things like cosmetic surgery and different weight-loss products.

Talking about the same, the company head Adam Mosseri said that the onus of creating a safe and sound kind of environment falls on them. Hence they are leaving no stone unturned to embark upon such features. He further said this attempt would somewhere regulate the issues of cyberbullying by the social network for dealing with things like hate speeches and abusive conduct at the same time that could be harmful for the young users.  All we can say is that this move happens to be the right step towards creating an environment that is both safe and healthy.
