US Law Ceases the ISPs Charging Customers for Their Own Routers

As we see the internet become the part and parcel of our lives, we see something or the other coming in our way time and again. Routers play an important role in offering the opportunity to access the internet. A few consumers are savvy enough to choose the best kind of router suiting all your requirements. However, this simply does not stop the ISP demanding a lot a router rental fee on a monthly basis. But now as per the new US law, this choice is going to be missed by the consumers very soon as it is going to be prohibited.

As per the reports presented by the group Ars Technica, the US government has spent huge amount of bill as approved by the Congress and it came out from the president Trump’s signature. It carried the new “consumer right to accurate equipment charges” and that it would be backed by the by all set to come along in the middle of this year. With this new law, one can see it stopping the Internet suppliers from charging for the equipment , which the consumers are supplying that simply do not mean the router rental fee would be disappearing soon for those consumers.

This sounds very much ridiculous to add fees for such things many of the consumers in the US feel as to who is the new customer of the Frontier Communications feel many in different quarters. Even if you offer your own router that are required to be connected with the Frontier’s service, there it would be charged at a cost of around ten dollars per month. This would come along under the “Wi-Fi Router” fee as imposed by the new law. The Frontier charges the fee irrespective of the fact whether you opt to use their router or not, and in some cases, you find the company do not even allowing to ship out the router, but it would still be going to apply the said charge.

While one can see the new law winning for the consumers in the developed nations like the United States, it is still unlikely to find out the way ISPs would happily going to accept the reduction of the fees, which has ended up getting collected on a monthly basis automatically. The router rental fees would soon be disappeared in this name only and we got to wait for a while to see how things would be shaped at the end. Well, the experts feel that nothing of such sort would come into practise, those believing in the same would be too naive to accept this fact that manages to break with the new rules. Well, what do you say on this, do let us know by comment below.
