Amazon Plans Its Customers to Convert their hands into Credit Card

The technology giant – Amazon Inc wants its customers to convert their hands into credit card. To be precise, Amazon wants to connect their hands with all the info of their credit card, which can help them in their shopping by scanning their palms and checking them out in the brick and mortar stores. The Wall Street Journal which belongs to the tech giant claimed that people know about the same and this is not the first time they have heard about it.

However, the plan of the technology giant seems to be in the early stages, we see the company starting up the work in this regard. They have started working with Visa with testing the terminals and as per reports, the company is also pursuing a similar project with Mastercard, Chase, JP Morgan, Synchrony Financial and Wells Fargo to be the premise.  The company has also filed a patent for this idea for the “non-contact biometric identification system”, which talks about the “hand scanner” that would help in producing the picture of a palm of a person.

As per reports, the very idea of Amazon was to transform the way the modern day consumers shop at the physical stores and brick and mortar outlets and the way it works with the credit card companies for further integrating itself in the financial lives of people. The company has chalked out the plan and is all set to expand the same for the Amazon based outlets called Amazon Go Stores that help consumers buy without any cash or check out along with using the voice payment services known as Amazon Pay.

However, in order to make this system full proof the company is all set to address the concerns from card issuers along with the consumers the way the terminals would find out the fraud as per the personal information the company is to get it from the scans. All the data that is collected from the terminals could be stored easily on the cloud of Amazon along with using the study of consumers as set over Amazon and the spending habits of the consumers claimed the journal. However, when Amazon spokesperson was asked about this he plainly denied commenting on it without refusing it. Well, if this goes well, then Amazon would give free hand to its customers to buy anything they want by just using their hand.
